Download has been an astounding success since its re-invention from the old ‘Monsters of Rock’ series in 2003. Download regularly attracts 120,000 festival goers over the weekend and 2010 will see yet another stellar line up of bands and artists sure to once again draw the crowds. Historically, the line-ups have consisted of ‘heavy metal’ rock artists but often these acts have crossed over into main stream popular music and as such the demographic of attendees is wide ranging from youngsters to the more mature music fans (ABC1 16-45).
2009 featured headline slots from Faith No More, Slipknot & Def Leppard (further illustrating the wide ranging appeal to differing age groups). 2010 will see a sure-to-be sensational set from AC/DC who are headlining the Friday night and ensuring that this years’ festival will retain its’ stunning popularity.
